Collection: 2 SLICE TOASTER

Essential for a busy family, Milantoast’s cafe-quality 2 slice toasters with heavy-duty mica elements are fast, toasting a standard frozen slice in about three minutes. Milantoast original toasters are different. They have four independent elements, so when you toast one slice, you only use 50% power – as it should be! Other toasters will typically use 75% power for one slice and when it comes to energy savings, every slice counts!

Sensibly these toasters do not ‘pop’. You set the timer for toast the way you like it and the elements switch off automatically. The cast aluminium base and top holds in the heat so your toast stays warm until you are ready to raise it with the lever.

All 2-slice toasters come with a designer, dishwasher-safe stainless steel crumb tray, and every detail from knob to power cord is superlative quality.

  • Better crunch

Milantoast 2-slice toasters are designed for a better crunch. The inside of the toaster is like two mini-ovens with four independent elements to ensure each side of your bread is treated equally, whether you’re toasting one slice or two. Milantoasters gently re-bake your bread through, while crisping the outer crust. This is a process which can’t be rushed, but Milantoast has calculated the optimum temperature and time for the job, and you have the control to adjust the timer for toast exactly the way you like it.

Milantoast original toasters retain heat, so be sure to supervise children when the toaster is in use.

  • Better elements

Milantoast has uniquely designed elements which can be replaced if necessary, however these elements are ingeniously designed to last longer. The continuous nickel-chromium flat wire is affixed to micanite board on the facing side and is protected by pure, natural mica stone.

Mica stone is a natural material which looks like the thinnest sheet of glass. It’s completely food-safe, can withstand high temperatures and protects the elements from jagged bits of toast. Food slides off into the crumb tray below, keeping the elements clean for a longer life.

  • Better materials

Polished cast aluminium, anodised aluminium and stainless steel are all recyclable materials which Milantoast sources locally. Milantoast has long-standing relationships with the Italian foundries ensuring the highest quality product. It’s this intimate knowledge of every supplier in the supply chain and the trust and integrity of suppliers that keeps production standards high. Although Milantoast materials are recyclable, the toasters can be dismantled and are repairable so it’s unlikely such high quality metals will ever make it to the recycling bin.

  • Better construction

Milantoast toasters are built like mini ovens. The oven chambers are housed in heavy-duty cast aluminium along with the top and bottom of the toaster. This holds the heat to ensure your toast remains warm when it has crisped to perfection.

  • Milantoast toasters are sustainable and energy efficient

    Better energy efficiency

Did you know that most 2-slice toasters only have three elements? The middle element is shared, so is usually amped up on power and is why one side of your toast is darker when you toast one slice.

Milantoast toasters are different. They have four independent elements, so when you toast one slice, you only use 50% power – as it should be! Other toasters typically use 75% power for one slice. When it comes to energy savings, every slice counts!

  • Better for the environment

Milantoast original toasters are manufactured from the recycled alloy EN46100, which is foundered from scrap metal. This is so much better for our environment in many ways. To produce 1Kg of aluminium from the mined mineral bauxite, it takes 14KW to process. To produce 1Kg of aluminium from scrap, it takes only 0.7KW to process. Recycling aluminium saves 95% of the energy needed to produce it from the mineral.

In addition, using recycled aluminium reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 95%. It represents a significant reduction in the environmental impact of mining activity, and reduces the resources, chemicals and clean water used in processing. Plus, aluminium is able to be 100% recycled over and over, while maintaining its quality.
