Milantoast is a family-owned Italian brand which has been serving the commercial Italian café market unceasingly since 1948. They have operated with the highest ideals since, unbound by corporate interference seeking ever- higher profits, Milantoast simply creates hard-working and reliable products revered in Italian homes and in bars and cafés across the nation.

All products are hand-crafted under their solar-panelled roof in Milan. No Milantoast branded product is manufactured offshore (unlike most appliance manufacturers who produce some of their lower-cost inventory overseas). Milantoast has long-standing relationships with local suppliers and foundries, so source locally, support their local economy and have a genuinely low carbon footprint.

Milantoast does not use forever chemicals. All products are 100% PFOA free.

THE ORIGINAL CAFE TOASTER

Milantoast was founded in 1948 as EGI, a manufacturer of expresso machine components.

In the post-war economic boom of the 1950s and 60s, Milantoast answered the call for Italians requiring a fast lunch and introduced the classic tong toaster in 1962.

The new toasted sandwiches were so popular, Italians began asking for a "Milan toast" by name, and so the brand was born.

A key mantra at Milantoast is

"the best way to avoid waste is not to produce it in the first place."

That's why they consciously eshew the throwaway culture, manufacturing only high quality, durable, environmentally friendly and repairable products.

They follow a rigid plan for supply chain sustainability as well as production sustainability. And their solar-pannelled plant in Milan is fully energy autonomous.

Milantoast products are designed to be 100% repairable to last a lifetime and are able to be 100% dismantled for recycling/reuse.
