A BETTER WAY TO TOAST

As you probably already know, the Milantoast original toaster is unique in the way it functions.

What most other manufacturers call slots we call ovens due to the robust cast alloy internal construction, which allows the toaster to reach higher temperatures, gently re-baking your bread to give you the famous Milantoast crunch.

The longer the product is in continuous use the more efficient it becomes. After your first slice, your toaster will reach an optimal temperature, with a unique airflow system that will enable you to toast continuously.

Like all toasters, the external components of the toaster may also heat up, so do not touch any of the metal components and ensure children are supervised when the toaster is in use. After the toaster has heated its first slice, be mindful to reduce your toasting time so as not to overcook your toast.

LET'S GET STARTED!

SWITCHES

You have the choice of using either one or two oven slots as a means of saving energy using the dual switches. The indicator light will show if the switch is on.

Once the cycle is completed, we recommend you always turn off the switches. This is a good habit to get into as it disables the power and saves energy, especially for for the single toast-eaters in the household.

TIMER

The settings on the easy-grip, soft touch timer go up to four minutes, but we recommend you start with two and a half minutes for a cold start with standard white bread and adjust as you go.

Remember that your toaster is now hot and your second slice or continuous use may require you to reduce the time as efficiency increases.

TOAST LEVER

The lever is not a pop-up style but a manual lever. You can check how your toast is cooking at any time by simply lowering the lever to lift the bread. We recommend you place the bread evenly between the front and back of the oven slot for the best results.

Tip:
Raise the lever to lower the bread.
Lower the lever to lift the toast.

CRUMB TRAY

At the base of the toaster is the designer crumb tray. It is made from stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. We recommend you clean the crumb regularly, at lease weekly to avoid crumbs building up.

TOASTING TIPS

The type of bread you use will have an effect on the timing and result. Sourdough and heavier brown breads as well as grained breads will take longer due to their density. Conversely, sweet breads such as raisin toast will cook more quickly due to the sugar content so take the time to do some experimenting for perfect toast, the way you like it.
